Lucy Boland Osteopath

Lucy qualifed with a Masters in Osteopathy at the prestigious University College of Osteopathy (formerly The British School of Osteopathy) in 2012. Prior to this Lucy studied Anatomy and Physiology at The University of Birmingham. After qualifying Lucy started work at Spineplus, London’s foremost back pain specialists. She spent five years working along side orthopaedic consultants and musculoskeletal experts. Lucy was a consultant osteopath at The Harley Street Spine Clinic and a specialist in intervertebral disc decompression (IDD) therapy, a non-invasive treatment for herniated discs, slipped discs, bulging discs and nerve pain including sciatica. Whilst in London Lucy treated West End perfomers, making up part of the medical team, supporting dancers in-house and on tour.

Born just outside Bath, Lucy grew up running competitively for Bristol AC at middle distance. She went on to represent the UK in a series of competitions against Ivy League Universities in the USA. It was from her personal experience of sporting injury and passion for human biology that eventually lead her to osteopathy.

“I have always been fascinated by human physiology and to be able to help people in pain is extremely rewarding.”

Sam Boland Osteopath

Following a similar path to Lucy, Sam first studied Anatomy and Physiology at Essex University. After spending 6 months shadowing therapists at a multidisciplinary clinic in Italy, Sam set his sights on becoming an osteopath. Sam went on to graduate from The British College of Osteopathic Medicine in North London with a Master’s distinction and was awarded the clinical prize for two consecutive years.

Since qualifying Sam has worked amongst London’s leading consultants in spinal surgery and radiology whilst a consultant osteopath at The Harley Street Spine Clinic. Sam is also an expert in intervertebral disc decompression (IDD) therapy, a non-invasive treatment for herniated discs, slipped discs, bulging discs and nerve pain including sciatica. Sam also has a particular interest in shoulder injuries.

“My time spent abroad opened my eyes to the benefits of manual therapy to people in pain. Too often I feel patients are given incorrect information regarding their condition. I always try to give an honest and evidence based approach to help relieve their pain.”

Sam is a keen tennis player and fortunately for Lucy he enjoys cooking.
